'NEWPORT READS 2008! READ WHAT TEENS ARE READING!' is a community reading program sponsored by the Newport
Library Foundation and the Oregon Council for the Humanities.
Orson Scott Card's novel Ender's Game was selected as the third annual
NEWPORT READS! book.
The Foundation is planning a series of events centered around the book.
Newport READS 2008 - READ WHAT TEENS ARE READING! is open to readers of all ages.
Local book clubs are encouraged to choose Ender's Game as their March selection.
To register, either call the library at 265-2153 or fill out and submit an
online form.
The final celebration of Newport READS! will take place April 5, 2008.
This project was made possible in part by a grant from the Oregon Council for the Humanities,
a statewide nonprofit organization and an independent affiliate of the National Endowment for the
Humanities, which funds OCH's grant program.
