If you have a PC or Mac notebook enabled with Wi-Fi, you can have high speed
access to the Internet and our subscription databases while visiting the Newport Public Library.
Just bring your laptop with wireless networking card installed, to the Newport Public Library,
35 NW Nye St., and connect to the Internet. No passwords are required, all are welcome.

Printers are not available via the wireless connection in the library.
Library staff may not configure patrons' laptops or install PCMCIA cards.
There is no guarantee of service at any specific

The Library's Internet Policy applies to the Wireless
Internet Connection.
We ask you to restrict use to one hour a day.

The Library assumes no responsibility for:
virus or security protection;
any alterations or interference with a laptop's configuration, operation, or data files resulting from connection to the
wireless network; or
damage, theft, or loss of any kind to a
user's equipment, software, data files, or other personal property brought into or used
at the Library's facilities.
Patrons shall defend, indemnify and hold the City of Newport, its officers, employees,
and agents harmless against all claims, actions, and judgments based upon or arising out of
the patron's use of Library wireless connections.
